A total of 32 TM Forum Catalyst teams demonstrated their proofs of concept at Digital Transformation World this week, and on Thursday seven projects were awarded for their outstanding contributions.

Catalysts are rapid-fire, proof-of-concept projects connecting service providers, technology suppliers, global enterprises and government organizations to create innovative solutions to common industry challenges. There are two key roles in the projects: the Catalyst champions – companies or organizations seeking a solution to a business or technology problem – and participants who work together to solve the challenges, prove the application of new technologies and validate standards.

Catalysts offer champions and participants a quick way to conduct R&D. More than 145 service providers, vendors and systems integrators made up the 32 teams that participated in Catalysts in Nice. Projects spanned 5G, AI, customer experience, digital services, smart cities, blockchain and more.

TM Forum’s Collaboration Subcommittee which oversees the creation and adoption of best practices judged the Catalysts alongside independent industry analysts.”
